| Chris Valenzuela was born in southern Indiana into a family lineage of miners, builders, stonemasons and Arizona ranchers. His ancestors came from the Pyrenees mountains in Spain. They fulfilled a land grant from the King of Spain to build missions through the California territory. His childhood medium for fort building in Indiana was sandstone slabs. It all seemed natural. For the last 30 years Chris has built numerous fireplaces, retaining walls, walks, patios and homes. He has an extensive background in the restoration of foundations and chimneys. He has a relentless work ethic and a laser-like attention to detail. He is on the Luck Stone approved masons referral list. Before moving to Staunton, Chris served on the Greene County Industrial Development Authority for a decade. He served as troop committee chairman for the Greene County Boy Scout troop for 7 years. And he sat on the Greene County Technical Education Center Advisory Council. Chris pursues mountaineering when he is not working. |
